Kraainembon, a gift for the locals

Kraainembon: a gift for residents and a helping hand for retailers All Kraainem residents will soon receive a €25 voucher (per household) to spend in local shops that have signed up for the scheme! The aim of this initiative is to support these organizations and raise their profile among local residents. For retailers who have not yet registered, it’s still not too late to do so: visit the platform at the following address:

Retailers and the hotel and catering trade
have not been forgotten

In this difficult period for them, the municipality has endeavored to support its retailers and the hotel and catering industry, which have been forced to close their doors on several occasions, with concrete and useful measures. Since the beginning of the crisis, they have been able to count on :

– Financial compensation bonuses, in addition to federal and regional bonuses – for both confinement periods – and according to the closing/opening conditions linked to their activity.

– The municipality will provide a CO2 sensor free of charge to measure ambient air quality in the premises and warn of the need to ventilate them (as well as in most of the municipality’s premises open to the public).

– The “Kraainembon” project voted for at the communal council meeting on December 15, 2020 involves distributing vouchers to residents for use in local shops and restaurants. An IT platform dedicated to local commerce will also give them greater visibility and enable citizens to purchase additional vouchers that can be offered as gifts.
