“Without a team, a burgomaster is nothing!”

Our Kraainem-Unie team

I don’t think I’ve said it often enough: everything that has happened since the start of this legislature would not be possible if I didn’t have a formidable team at my side. First of all, there’s a great team at the commune. And then the majority team.

Many thanks to them!

Allow me to introduce you to those I work with every day,
but also those behind the scenes who support our citizen movement from the beginning:

College of mayors and aldermen (1x per week)

  • Marie-France Constant, alderman for Social Affairs, Dutch-speaking education, communication, Smart, climate and ecological transition, and citizen participation.
  • Johan Forton, alderman for heritage & regional planning, public works, mobility, flooding, culture (Dutch-speaking associations) and youth (Dutch-speaking associations).
  • And myself, with responsibilities for population and civil status, police, security and order, public health, finance, human resources, organizational development and burial.

Town Council (1x per month)

  • Carel Edwards, Vinciane De Meutter-Cardinael, André Ivanszky, Nathalie Woitrin, Anja Vermeulen ;
  • and also 4 Pro-Kraainem local councillors: Olivier Joris, Luc Timmermans (local council chairman), Guillaume von Wintersdorff) and Carine Pin.

CPAS (1x per month)

  • Kraainem-Unie has 3 of the 9 seats (permanent board members Damien Filippi, Laurent De Meutter, Colette Storms), Pro-Kraainem 1 (Gilbert Theunis).

And let’s not forget , the loyal members of our citizen movement, who support us with great enthusiasm!

I’m also very lucky to have the daily support of my wife, Julie, who helps me in my work. Like me, she loves meeting people and is very involved in community life.
