The Riopact saga
One question was raised as early as the summer of 2020: what are we doing about Riopact? Those interested in technical details can visit https://www.kraainem-unie.be, but you should know that the governor considered that the commune’s approach (to provide for these amounts within the amounts available) was acceptable and that there was no reason to modify the multi-year plan (despite our repeated explanations on the subject, the opposition had lodged two complaints with the intention of having the budget cancelled…).
Did you know that?
Since 2018, sewer management has been handled by Riopact, a collaboration between drinking water company De Watergroep and water treatment company Aquafin. Riopact is responsible for the maintenance and development of municipal wastewater collection infrastructures, such as the cleaning of public sewers and downspouts, repairs and maintenance.
