Als onderdeel van de geplande heraanleg van de Noordring zal de oprit naar de E40 ter hoogte van Q8 Kraainem verdwijnen. De verandering werd ingegeven door de lay-out van de site. De ingang van deze afrit wordt beschouwd als te dicht bij het knooppunt Ring en daardoor ongevalsgevoelig. Tussen de oprit naar de E40 en de Ringknoop in Sterrebeek ligt slechts 300 meter. Burgemeester Bertrand Waucquez staat niet per se negatief tegenover de herinrichting van de op- en afrit van de Q8.<i>&#8220;We hebben elke dag files op de Avenue des Anciens Combattants&#8221;, <\/i>zegt de burgemeester, die wijst op de veiligheidsproblemen die gepaard gaan met de huidige situatie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-left ap-StoryElement ap-StoryElement--mb ap-StoryText\">Volgens de burgemeester is de oplossing die op tafel ligt<i>&#8220;niet perfect, maar wel de beste die<\/i>tot nu toe is<i>gepresenteerd<\/i>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-left ap-StoryElement ap-StoryElement--mb ap-StoryText\">Bertrand Waucquez vraagt echter om garanties.<i>&#8220;We moeten bewijzen dat de situatie na de werken beter <\/i>zal zijn. Er kan immers geen nieuwe ontwikkeling zijn zonder bouwwerkzaamheden. En daar ligt het probleem&#8230;<i> &#8220;Mensen zijn nog steeds getraumatiseerd door de werkzaamheden aan de Woluwelaan&#8221;<\/i>, merkt de Brabantse burgemeester op, voor wie een co\u00f6rdinatie-instrument met alle andere bouwplaatsen in de omgeving essentieel is.<i>&#8220;Het werk<\/i> moet de moeite waard zijn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-left ap-StoryElement ap-StoryElement--mb ap-StoryText\">Het Vlaamse agentschap dat verantwoordelijk is voor de werken, het Werkvennootschap, kwalificeert het scenario door te zeggen dat het onlangs goedgekeurde sectorplan deze veranderingen mogelijk maakt. Maar er ligt nog een lange administratieve weg voor ons: er moeten specifieke vergunningsaanvragen worden ingediend, openbare onderzoeken worden uitgevoerd, vergunningen worden verkregen&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-left ap-StoryElement ap-StoryElement--mb ap-StoryText\">Ter herinnering: Vlaanderen is van plan om het hele noordelijke deel van de Brusselse Ring tussen Zaventem en Groot-Bigard te herontwikkelen. Er zijn met name plannen om een rondweg aan te leggen tussen de E40 en de E19, afrit 8 bij Wemmel te verwijderen, de weg te verbreden, de omgeving groener te maken en fietspaden aan te leggen. En dat alles voor ongeveer \u20ac4 miljard. In totaal zullen de werken, die in delen zullen worden uitgevoerd beginnend bij Zaventem, ongeveer tien jaar in beslag nemen. Streefdatum: eind 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-left ap-StoryElement ap-StoryElement--mb ap-StoryText\">In de nabije toekomst zal de kwestie worden besproken door de gemeenteraad van Kraainem, die hierover een officieel standpunt zal moeten innemen, net als de andere betrokken instanties.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a
