The Ch\u00e2teau Jourdain janitor’s lodge restored and occupied!<\/h2>\n

For centuries, a farm known as “Hof te Crainhem” stood on the site of today’s Jourdain complex. Some parts of this farmhouse have been preserved around the inner courtyard: a dwelling whose oldest parts date back to the 18th century (the “conciergerie”), the bread oven and the stable to the right of the entrance.<\/p>\n

It wasn’t until the 19th century that the Delphin Gaillard-Vande Casteele couple acquired the estate and transformed it into a ch\u00e2teau by building a neo-Gothic wing – an estate that was bought in 1899 by Victor Jourdain and much later, in 1976, by the commune.<\/p>\n

Good news: the concierge service has recently been the subject of aThe company has undergone a complete refurbishment and a janitor has been recruited.<\/strong> His main task will be to supervise the premises, allow access to the castle and provide administrative support in the development and implementation of the municipality’s leisure policy.
The interior of the ch\u00e2teau itself has also been refurbished for events. It can now be used for wedding ceremonies, a more pleasant setting than the council chamber in the Maison Communale.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
