Si celui-ci est satur\u00e9 pendant plus que quelques minutes, les inondations ne tardent pas \u00e0 se produire aux endroits les plus sensibles. Ce syst\u00e8me permet aux riverains concern\u00e9s de prendre le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant les mesures d\u2019urgence qui s\u2019imposent.<\/p>\n<p><br\/>Le conseil communal du 27 octobre a aussi vot\u00e9 un r\u00e8glement pr\u00e9voyant l\u2019octroi d\u2019un subside communal aux habitants qui souhaitent placer un panneau de protection ou clapet anti-retour. Ces derniers n\u2019emp\u00eachent pas les inondations, mais permettent de r\u00e9duire quasiment \u00e0 n\u00e9ant les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des habitations. Bien \u00e9videmment, des mesures structurelles \u00e0 plus long terme sont \u00e9galement envisag\u00e9es, en collaboration avec les diff\u00e9rents intervenants en dehors de la commune, entre autres le nouveau gestionnaire de r\u00e9seau, De Watergroep. Les grandes lignes d\u2019un plan global devraient \u00eatre d\u00e9finies en 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><em>Article ao\u00fbt 2018<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Flooding and excessive concreting: what&#8217;s the link?<\/h4>\n\n<p>Kraainem has once again been hit by flooding this summer: a heat wave followed by tropical storms has once again brought disaster to the inhabitants of Kraainem&#8217;s lower (northern) suburbs.<\/p>\n\n<p>In 2009, the municipality sold the entire network (drinking water and drainage) to Vivaqua for two times nothing (1.1 million), on condition that Vivaqua &#8220;immediately build one or more storm water basins&#8221; on Kraainem territory. Almost nothing concrete came out of it, and Union hardly reacted to this breach of contract. Some residents of neighborhoods higher up in the commune where sewer sections are overloaded and\/or damaged are now also experiencing flooding.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Que va faire Kraainem-Unie ?<br\/><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Nice promises before the elections? Proposing miracle solutions?<br\/>No. We leave that to others. For us, the first step is to establish a proactive relationship with De Watergroep (Vivaqua&#8217;s successor) and Aquafin, in order to allocate municipal funds to solutions to these problems where necessary. Don&#8217;t forget<br\/>not that Union (MR \/ D\u00e9FI \/ CdH) has long been planning to build a new town hall costing a minimum of 7 million euros. Money is available for this, but not for basic infrastructure guarantees, such as sewage. Kraainem-Unie would like to spend this money on other things.<br\/>The current situation is also the result of excessive concreting. In fact, every building and house we build reduces the natural drainage of rainwater. As a result, they can no longer penetrate the soil, end up in the sewers (which have become inadequate) and run off down Kraainem. Given climate change, it&#8217;s not going to get any better.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Kraainem-Unie se bat d\u00e9j\u00e0 depuis 6 ans au conseil communal <\/strong><strong>pour une politique environnementale durable et pour <\/strong><strong>\u00e9viter que les zones agricoles ne soient converties en terrains <\/strong><strong>\u00e0 b\u00e2tir. Il est temps de mettre un frein au b\u00e9tonnage \u00e0 outrance <\/strong><strong>\u00e0 Kraainem et de passer \u00e0 des projets durables, tant <\/strong><strong>pour le contr\u00f4le de l\u2019eau que pour l\u2019utilisation de l\u2019espace.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Les constructions sur nos derniers espaces verts n\u2019ont pas seulement un effet sur les inondations, <strong>mais aussi sur la circulation, les files, la pollution de l\u2019air,<\/strong>\u2026<\/li>\n<li>L\u2019application d\u2019un RUP (Ruimtelijk UitvoeringsPlan) communal afin de d\u00e9finir clairement l\u2019utilisation des parcelles (vertes) existantes est donc une priorit\u00e9 absolue pour Kraainem-Unie.<\/li>\n<li>Il n\u2019y a pas de plan B. Nous ne pourrons rester une commune verte qu\u2019avec une vision globale pour l\u2019avenir.
